Hiya! I'm Farore. I draw stuff for a living! Maybe I even draw stuff... FOR YOU!

(cue lightning crash)

I live in the Seattle area with my wife CassioBunny and my cat Socrates (a female Korat). I also spend quite a bit of time, energy, and love on Goopypanther, my partner we live near, and I'm super special polycule buddies with P01D, Cassio's other partner. Friendship is very important to me; relationships in general are, and I strive to take no one for granted.

Art is my job; I work on it Wednesday to Sunday, and sometimes on my days off, too! I adore color and greatly enjoy splashing it where it doesn't belong; I've also been known to be partial to extremely weird pervy stuff, for the novelty factor of course. I love Impressionism, especially impasto work, and wish I could figure out how to make digital art programs do that, as I generally haven't the patience for oils - not yet at least! Monet and Van Gogh are my favorites, but I also like Klimt, Maxfield Parrish, Norman Rockwell, James Gurney, Boris Vallejo, Luis Royo, and a few others. I also enjoy outsider art, Art Noveau, Romanticism, Hyperrealism, and Surrealism, to name a few. I love art, I love making art, I love watching others make art, I love critiquing art, I love having my art critiqued - anything to do with art, you name it, I probably love it! I believe that colors should look good enough to eat; lines should also; art should invoke emotional response; artists should not set their drinks next to their paint water. Above all, art should be enjoyed, thoroughly and enthusiastically. Otherwise, it gets lonely!

I've been drawing since I was a wee thing, but I started focusing on my art around 2002 or so, and my current schedule of drawing every day (and with regular work hours on work days) began in Spring 2006. Practice really is essential! I dabble in any media I can get my hands on, but tend to be most comfortable with digital art, markers, watercolors (tube, brush pen, pencil, or palette, whichever), graphite, colored pencil, and acrylic. These days I mostly do digital art, though I'm trying to cultivate a traditional art practice again.

I live with autism, anxiety, C-PTSD, bipolar disorder, chronic pain, diabetes, and gender-related body dysphoria, among other things. As a result of this, I am often dissociated and plagued by intrusive thoughts, or just plain manic, as well as startling easily and going from 0 'just fine' to 60 'oh god the world is ending' in 10 seconds flat... so if I seem strange or not-quite-lucid at times, that's probably why. I'm currently on medication for the stuff in the first sentence, and seeing a therapist as well, so I plan to keep improving my inner life every day! In the meantime, however, I really, really don't like being touched by people I'm not super-close to, and I greatly prefer handshakes to hugs. I don't handle crowds, shouting, or angry people very well. Keeping these things in mind will help me to be a happy, friendly and productive kittybot, should you run into me at conventions or meet-ups!

I attend Biggest Little Furry Con (for which I did the social media artwork in 2020) 2014 - 2019 and Midwest Furfest every year from 2006 (except for 2017 when I went to Japan instead) to 2019, I have attended Further Confusion (where I ran the Art Track programming in 2016, was Marketing Second in 2017, and worked as a staff artist from 2015 - 2017), I used to attend Furry Connection North when it was runnning, I attended Anthrocon from 2007 - 2012, and I was Guest of Honor at Rainfurrest 2009 (I did nearly all of their art assets in that year) as well as an attendee in 2011. I also attended Vancoufur 2020 (where I have been a staff artist from 2019 - 2020). I try to do Dealers or Artist Alley as well as Art Show at every con I attend. Cons are on hold for now - thanks COVID.

So, that's me in a nutshell! A nutshell that has an essay inside it. About me. Er, go click to some other page now, okay? >_>; *stealthily sidles away*
